Setting up your Embedded Partner Account
Set your Embedded Partner account up with authorisation mechanism to create and test embedded payments
Before You Begin
Ensure your account has been set up as an Embedded Partner Account. If this step hasn't been completed, please reach out to your Integration Manager for assistance.
As an Embedded Partner (EP) with BVNK, your account serves as the primary hub from which you can spawn Embedded Partner Merchant (EPM) accounts. These EPM accounts are crucial for extending your platform's capabilities, allowing you to seamlessly manage and execute financial transactions on behalf of your clients.
Key Steps to Activate Your Embedded Partner Capabilities
To fully activate and utilize your Embedded Partner Account, there are two critical configurations you must complete:
- Generate Parent API Keys: These keys are your gateway to interacting with BVNK's suite of APIs. This initial step involves navigating through the BVNK portal to the 'Manage Account' section, where you'll select 'API Integration' and then 'Generate API Key'. This process is crucial for securing and customizing your access to BVNK's functionalities.
- Create a Merchant ID (MID): The MID is a unique identifier that links directly to a designated wallet within your BVNK account. It manages the settlement currency—ensuring it matches the currency of the linked wallet—and in handling webhook URLs for payment notifications. To issue or receive payments, you must first establish an MID through the 'Manage Account' section by selecting 'Manage Merchants' and then 'Create New Merchant'.
Following these configurations, you will be equipped with the necessary tools to manage payments and transactions efficiently. Whether you are issuing payments, receiving funds, or setting up new EPM accounts, these steps lay the foundational access and control over your Embedded Partner Account's capabilities.
Remember:
Store API Keys Securely: After generating your API keys, ensure they are stored securely. They are critical for your ongoing access and interaction with BVNK's APIs.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): For added security, 2FA is required to complete the generation of your API keys.
